I grew up in Decatur, Ga and I attended Dunwoody High School. After High School I attended Catawba College on a football scholarship in 1991 and majored in Therapeutic Recreation. After graduating with my degree, I worked for Dekalb County Schools as a para in the special education program and as a campus supervisor. After leaving Dekalb County, I was hired as an Activity Director for a Schizophrenic clinic in Downtown Decatur. I began working for Hillside as an Activity Therapist in 2000 and in 2007 I enrolled in UGA and obtained my special education certification. I’ve taught special education for the last 9 years at Hillside with a year and a half spent in the Fulton County School system. This year I’ll be teaching Middle School ELA/SS, Elem ELA and High School ELA.
